Barrientos Scholars to Elevate Student Success Program with UNO’s First Generation Student Agency
The Barrientos Scholars Foundation is excited to announce partnership updates to its Student Success Skill Program. The program is being taken to new heights this spring with the University of Nebraska Omaha’s First-Generation Student Agency (FGSA).
The Student Success Skill Program is designed to provide students with the guidance, networks, and personal experiences they need to thrive academically and in their future careers.
Classes for the Student Success Program will begin on March 12 at UNO’s Community Engagement Center (CEC) and will run through April. This year, students will learn from a four-part speaker series with two speakers at each event.
FGSA will assist with public speaking and presentation skills during the sessions.
Cindy Cuyun from Uncommon Strengths Coaching will lead the sessions on Gallup Strengths coaching, providing students with invaluable insights to build clarity and confidence. Students who complete all four sessions will be coached to their top five Gallup strengths.
We’re excited to guide our students on this transformative journey as they build skills and grow in confidence. Together, we’re shaping future leaders and making an impact.
