Casa de la Cultura presents Cinco de Mayo Omaha (CDMO) festival, Nebraska’s #1 cultural attraction and the proud recipient of the state’s highest tourism recognition, the 2023 Henry Fonda Award.
This year, our festivities are set to take over historic South Omaha featuring an incredible lineup of live music, Mundo de Niños/STEM Kid’s Area, our annual parade, food, exhibitors, a health fair, Zumbamania, the Adelante Gala banquet and electrifying concerts. Celebrating 104 years of Mexican festivals!
Over the 3-day weekend Omaha’s #1 diverse festival attracted some 200,000+ visitors from five states (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Nebraska) with about 65% being of Latino decent. Due to its popularity and according to TripAdvisor, CDMO is one of the top five Cinco de Mayo festivals in the country that attracts vendors from Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, Des Moines and Kansas City. Cinco de Mayo Omaha runs an incredible marketing campaign covering four states in radio, television, social media, print, posters, banners, digital signs and media coverage.
