BSF Golf Tournament Scores Big with $30K Raised for Scholarship Initiatives

On September 13, 2024, the Barrientos Scholarship Foundation (BSF) hosted its 14th Annual "$105 Keeping the Dream Alive" Golf Fundraiser at the scenic Tregaron Golf Course. With the support of generous sponsors, enthusiastic guests, and hardworking volunteers, the event raised an impressive $30,325. These funds are crucial for BSF's shift toward directing scholarship funds to dynamic community-building efforts.

BSF's ultimate vision is to cultivate a better Omaha by elevating talented Latino youth, who will become the future ambassadors of our community. As an organization committed to uplifting Latino students, it is our duty to equip them with the right resources and opportunities, empowering them to reach their full potential. In doing so, they not only become the best versions of themselves but also valuable contributors to the growth and success of the broader community.

In closing remarks, Tony Aguilera, Board President of BSF, expressed deep gratitude lightheartedly, stating, "This year’s golf tournament was a testament to the power of community and collaboration. The incredible turnout and generosity we saw is a reminder that we all share the same vision—to empower Latino students to succeed. I couldn’t do it without you—the sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who participated—your support means the world to us and will have a lasting impact on the lives of so many.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Barrientos Scholarship Foundation Board for their invaluable efforts in making the golf tournament a success. Their contributions, especially to the silent auction, helped secure the necessary funding to continue supporting both our current and future Latino students.

"We love and support our students, parents, and partners!" said the BSF Board.

Together, we’ve helped shape the future for tomorrow’s leaders, and we’re excited to continue this journey with all of you.
